The Cinderella Project began in 2010 by Wendy when she was working as the Director of Communications at the Hartford School District. One day a teacher sent out a query through interoffice email asking if someone wanted to collect some prom dresses for students who might want to go to prom" It seemed like a fairly simple request, so Wendy was happy to volunteer. Little did she know that five years and 400+ prom gowns later, this project would expand to serve 11 high schools and hundreds of families.
