Dresses can be dropped off at the Raq On Dance Studio almost any evening during the week or at the following high school offices:

If you have lots of prom clothes, we can arrange a pick up. Just give us a shout at 1-802-296-2625.

We love volunteers! It takes many hands and creative ideas to keep this organization humming along. Here's a short list of some of our work:

 

  • Dress pick up and drop off

  • Fashion consulting

  • Jewelry making

  • Dress repair

  • Dress steaming and ironing

  • Laundry

  • Marketing and advertising

  • Media management

  • Graphic design

 

We offer a fun, relaxed atmosphere, lots of laughs and spirited conversation. We love the new ideas and energy our volunteers bring to the project. We consider everything we do as a work in progress - constantly changing, growing and evolving.

 

We ask our volunteers to make a minimum committment of one season (March through May). Some jobs require just a few hours and others require more - it's up to you your level of involvement. Give us a call to learn more!

The Cinderella Project is a no-profit, no money clothing exchange.  Women donate dresses, jewelry and shoes to us for free and we in turn give them to students for free.

 

However, every year we meet supporters who love the project so much that they want to make a financial contribution, so, in 2011 we decided we'd give all donations to WISE, a local support group for abused women. Local women supporting local women - we like that!

 

In 2015, we'll be investing back into the project by investing in industrial clothing racks (those dresses are heavy!) and signage. Basics for other businesses but challenging for us!

 

And speaking of challenges, our single biggest challenge is finding space for the project. Since we have no income, it can be very challenging to find free studio space. Fortunately for us, the Raq On Dance Studio has graciously donated space in their studio for us to showcase the prom gowns. We are now in our 3rd year with Raq On and we are extremely thankful. Without their generous spirit and support, the Upper Valley Cinderella Project might have folded years ago.
